There are two primary bays that surround the Mornington Peninsula: Port Phillip Bay and Western Port Bay. They both attract their fair share of tourists throughout the year (especially in the summer months).
Port Phillip sits to the northwest and Western Port to the east of the Mornington Peninsula area.
The Mornington Pier, Linley Point Lookout and The Pillars all face out towards Port Phillip, providing spectacular views of the ocean, sailboats and sometimes aquatic birds and animals.
Western Port Bay is home to three large Marine National Parks based in the Mornington Peninsula area: French Island, Churchill Island and Yaringa.
